A Short Story: "Toyosi Woke Smiling..."

...Wrote this piece as an entry for a competition that I eventually couldn't enter for... Just thought it shouldn't join the ridiculously high pile of unrecorded stories I can already boast of (I need help mehn!).

Toyosi woke smiling. She’d just had a bad dream but wasn’t disturbed! What was it about sef, she mused, while turning towards the owner of the firm hand holding her lovingly in sleep. In her dream, she’d been pushed off a cliff by a popular movie actor. The dream should have terrified her, but no, not while she snuggled with her Sent-From-Above ‘Boo’.

She couldn’t help staring at his handsome ‘oyinbo’ face. As though he felt her eyes, his left hand shifted (his other hand bracing her head) - under their makeshift Ankara blanket to locate her nipples. Even before he reached them, the nubs hardened considerably, delighted at her lover’s touch.

“Hmmm” he moaned.

Toyosi could have burst with happiness at his smile.

“Sleepyhead” he drawled, winking naughtily and gently tugging her right nipple.

“Ouch!” She cried playfully, reaching out for a bear hug. “You blew me away last night, baby”

“Anything for my love”

“Aww” she cooed, “Ayobami, you’re the best!”

Suddenly, she felt a strange urge to pee and puke and rushed to the bathroom.

As she relieved herself, she reflected on how blessed she was to be engaged to a 10/10 guy. After all the losers she’d dated, Ayobami was the best consolation!

Just then, Ayo’s phone beeped from his trousers lying on the floor at her feet.

“Homeboy is calling you. Should I answer it?”

Ayo rushed to get the phone away from her, but just as he reached the half-open bathroom door, he heard her, “E don cut. Go back to bed”

Just then, a message flashed across the screen. She spied her name and read:

“Dude, U don bang Toyosi finish? Becky don come. Kasala might burst! Show face NOW!”

The puke came gushing out…
