Yes, I pray you every blessing in the universe in this new month, but much more than that, I hope you really LIVE every moment- the good & the not so good. The original name of the month was Sextilis. No, it’s not anything related to what y'all are already thinking. The name was given because it was the SIXTH month in the Roman Calendar.

The Anglo-Saxons called it “Weod-Monath” Literal meaning: “Weed-Month”. Apparently, it was the month in which weeds {No, not that weed! *judging you*} grow most rapidly.

The name ‘August’ was actually from the Romans. In 8BC {8 years before the birth of Jesus}, the month was named after the first Roman Emperor Julius Caesar Augustus.
