Like most other Christian religious holidays, Easter has got its fair share of controversy. The word around town is that the celebration is steeped in ancient pagan culture.
Anyways, pagan or no, I think I'm cool with the idea of celebrating Christ's resurrection. Whatever name we choose to tag it is of lesser significance.
I'm fairly sure you've heard so many "Christ is risen; all your long-awaited miracles are risen too" kinda messages already. You've gotten a ton of BCs and Pings and yea, you haven't had a choice but to acknowledge the season.
If you're one of those who are usually pissed off at times like this, keep calm, it's almost over. Abi?
The paparazzi around 'Good Friday' 'Palm Sunday' 'Easter Sunday' is almost over. But the TRUE reason for the season {ouch! Cliché right? I know. Just couldn't help it, no vex} is NEVER over.
In fact, have you thought about the fact that what we're celebrating today- His resurrection- is the event that distinguishes our Lord from every other Jesus in the world? That it's what puts the CHRIST in Jesus Christ? He rose to purpose; to fulfillment...
>>> Can we say same of you and me?
>>> How much have we worked towards the fulfillment of our divine purpose?
>>> How much have we yielded to God's leading and 'panel-beating'?
>>> How often do we, like Jesus, say "Not my will, but yours be done"
You realize without the conviction behind that statement, there would be no point to all of these yea?
Points to ponder, people... Points to ponder...
Still Peace & Chocolate cake,
Mary
